Our Challenge

A marketplace SaaS startup disrupting the alcohol industry offered customers a complete, white-label ecommerce solution for the highly-regulated wine and liquor space. At intake, our client's sales team booked an average of two inbound calls each month from the company website. Executives asked Practical Effects to strengthen the company's brand voice rewrite the brand's marketing copy in order to grow top-of-funnel inbound conversions.

Our Solution

A strong brand voice and effective on-site CTAs go hand-in-hand. In order to grow inbound bookings, the Practical Effects team worked closely with our client to determine optimal brand positioning and craft a cohesive content and messaging strategy to bring a credible brand voice to life online, drive call bookings, and increase time on site.

Eric Turner, Creative Director at Practical Effects, created a bespoke growth strategy for our client and drafted all-new marketing copy for the website. The landing page needed to speak to both the business and regulatory hurdles customers face in the marketplace, and communicate clear next steps to create sales.

A customer-driven story took shape focusing on digital ease of use and scalable fulfillment:

  • Customer-focused story emphasizing known pain points
  • All copy ties back to answering one key question: legality
  • Features explanation focused on clarity and ease of use
  • Customer story highlights existing customer success cases
  • High-attention, specific CTAs throughout site pages

Our strategy drove a 20X increase in inbound sales calls. Today, our client books an average of 40 inbound calls each month.
